Five of the Best Blockbusters to See This Summer

With the school year coming to its end incredibly soon, that can only mean that summer is on its way. But in between the pool parties and vacations abroad, everyone will at least be spending some of their summer time in movie theaters. But with dozens of movies being released every week in theaters around the country, it’s hard to decide which ones to see. So when you’re deciding which movies to see this summer, here’s some of the ones that you should check out:



Avengers: Infinity War


“Avengers: Infinity War” is a superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team, the Avengers, and it is a the sequel to 2012’s “Marvel’s The Avengers” and “2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron.” It will also be the nineteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Solo: A Star Wars Movie


“Solo: A Star Wars Story”, or simply Solo, is an upcoming American space western film centered on Han Solo, a character from the Star Wars franchise. The film will be the second Star Wars anthology film, following the 2016 film Rogue One. It explores the adventures of a young Han Solo and Chewbacca. Ocean’s 8


“Ocean’s 8” is an all-female heist comedy film, created 17 years after the 2001 release of the original film “Ocean’s 11” by Steven Soderbergh. In the film, Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock), gathers a crew to attempt an impossible heist at New York City’s yearly Met Gala. Incredibles 2


“Incredibles 2” is a superhero film based on the lives of Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Violet and Dash. It a sequel to Disney’s original Incredibles movie, released in 2004. The movie is about how the Incredibles family struggles to maintain normal lives while Elastigirl continues to fight crime and campaign for the return of “supers.” The movie’s general release is June 15, 2018. You can find the trailer for the movie here.




The First Purge


The First Purge is a dystopian action horror film, based on 2013’s “The Purge.” It is the fourth installment in The Purge franchise. The movie is about a new political party, the New Founding Fathers of America, who begin the Purge by targeting marginalized communities in order to spread the Purge across the United States. The movie’s general release is July 4, 2018. You can find the trailer for the movie here.
