The student responsible for a stabbing spree that left one student dead and three others injured told officers he doesn’t remember the attack, according to the arrest affidavit filed Wednesday morning in Travis County.

When UT police questioned suspect Kendrex White about the attacks, he told officers that it was possible he used a knife to hit someone but he didn’t remember. The interview ended with White stating “if I did something I don’t remember, then I want to be told,” the document reads.

According to the Austin American-Statesman, a source told the paper that White was suffering from a mental illness the day of the attack.

White is being charged with the death of student Harrison Brown with his bail is set at $1,000,000. He has not been appointed an attorney or assigned a date for a preliminary hearing, according to records.
