UT Executive Alliance Election Results In Runoff

The Student Government elections will result in a runoff between two executive alliance candidate teams while the other team is disqualified.

Alliance teams Isaiah Carter and Sydney O’Connell, Alejandrina Guzman and Micky Wolf began their new election campaigns today to prepare for the upcoming runoff. Voting begins March 8 at 8 a.m.

In the general election, the Guzman-Wolf ticket led with 39.11 percent of the votes. The Carter-O’Connell ticket followed, with 32.87 percent of the votes. In order to win the election in the general round, one campaign is required to receive over 50 percent of the votes.

Blake Burley and Robert Guerra’s ticket was disqualified from the elections due to their failure to submit financial disclosure. They will not fight their disqualification. They had received 27.01 percent of the votes.
